Leaving Corporate to Start a Business – Small businesses deserved better, so I built CloudRack HQ.
I admit, leaving corporate to start a business wasn’t easy.
After 15 years in tech, I walked away from a steady job at a Fortune 500 company — full benefits, a good salary, the “dream.” I helped ship products used by millions, built automation systems at scale, and worked alongside some brilliant minds. Don’t get me wrong, I learned so much attributing decades of my life to corporate work. It was fulfilling, challenging and I loved the opportunity to keep learning and improving my understanding with systems and tools. But over time, something changed.
I started to feel… disconnected.
I wasn’t solving real problems anymore. I was buried in red tape. The work became more about process than progress. More about status meetings than meaningful outcomes. And while I kept climbing, inside I felt like I was falling.
What kept me going? Oddly enough, it wasn’t the big flashy projects. It was the scrappy internal teams — the small departments with big goals and no budget. The ones who needed help, fast. The ones where my skills made an immediate impact. That’s when I realized: this is who I want to help.
So I made the leap.
And I built CloudRack HQ.
This isn’t some venture-funded “cloud startup.”
This is me, showing up for real people.
My mission with CloudRack is simple:
To bring enterprise-level cloud automation to small businesses, nonprofits, and solo founders — without the bloat, the price tag, or the complexity. I take what I learned from building solutions at scale and tailor it for lean, fast-moving teams. Google Workspace cleanup, app integrations, shared drive hygiene, account automation — all that messy backend stuff that slows you down? I live for that.
I’m not chasing unicorns.
I’m chasing clarity, speed, and results.
I want to help teams do more with what they already have. And I want to do it in a way that’s honest, reliable, and human.
Because I’ve been on the other side —
Sitting in meetings, trying to explain to execs why nothing is shipping.
Wrestling with tool sprawl.
Wondering why every vendor solution costs $40,000 and still doesn’t do what you need.
At CloudRack, I give you practical solutions that work.
Not fluff. Not upsells. Just clear, fast help from someone who’s been in the trenches.
If you’re a small org trying to wrangle Google Workspace, improve security, or just get your cloud systems working the right way — I’d love to talk.
